Cisco Learning Institute and Panduit have announced 40 scholarship awards for the Panduit Excellence Scholarship Program. Awards were based on demonstrated commitment to networking education leading to the CCNA certification. More than 500 applications were submitted and reviewed. Each application provided information about education, experience, community service, and an essay on career goals in the networking industry. Each award winner will receive USD $1,000 towards tuition in CCNA courses.
Cisco Learning Institute, together with China NetAcad, is pleased to announce the recipients of the Cisco Scholarship Program (China) for the following Cisco Networking Academy Courses: CCNA Discovery: Networking for Home and Small Businesses; CCNA Discovery: Working at a Small-to-Medium Business or ISP; CCNA Exploration: Network Fundamentals; and CCNA Exploration: Routing Protocols and Concepts. 170 students from 13 Academies in the developing regions of the China provinces were selected to receive scholarships that will be used to partially fund their training at their respective Academy.
The scholarships were to be distributed evenly among the academies. However, in response to the massive earthquake that struck in May, Cisco Learning Institute awarded 18% of the scholarships to students from the devastated Province of Sichuan.
The scholarships were awarded based on the applicants' financial needs as well as their narrative describing why they want to achieve CCNA certification. The finalists were selected by the China Academy Council. Congratulations to all the winners!
