Singapore Cisco Students Ambassadors

The Student Ambassadors Program in Singapore is designed to foster student experiences in technical conferences and events. The group of students participating in the program are from a variety of Cisco Networking Academies in Singapore, who have a passion for technology and a keen interest in participating and learning from such industry events.

In December 2007, The Student Ambassadors in Singapore from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic participated in the3rd annual IPTV World Forum Asia conference.

The conference was an opportunity for the Ambassadors to showcase their knowledge and expertise on Cisco IPTV Solutions, and connect with the youth generation on the latest IPTV Solutions and Cisco Products The conference was attended by over 2000 visitors, and with over 80 exhibitors.

The Student Ambassadors, were a key part of the event, creating brand awareness and to showcase the latest end-to-end Cisco IPTV solutions for the Connected Home. The group delivered exciting, live demonstrations to the audience.

From the students perspective it was a fabulous opportunity to network and participate in a key technology event. It also allowed them to extend their presentation skills, and to get “up close” with the latest Cisco Technologies.

The Cisco Ambassador initiative was very well-received by the attendees. We felt that the students did an excellent job in hosting our customers, leading them through the various demo zones, and capturing valuable feedback. We certainly appreciated their contribution to the success of the event and we hope that they also found it to be an enriching experience which will help them in their future career."
