Purpose of the Job

Responsible for Commercial or Enterprise sales in a designated geography. Leads sales teams who work with Partners to drive specific technology sales within the SMB and mid-tier markets.

Job Title : Sales Manager

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for an area annual booking/revenue quota with significant growth in subsequent years.
  • Develops and executes sales strategies focused on advanced technology solutions. Creates a team based demand generation marketing plan that addresses the vertical market opportunities within its
  • respective geography.
  • Responsible for recruitment as well as technical and professional development of team, successful account planning, driving winning AT solutions across area, and accurate forecasting.

Education & Experience

  • BA degree—MBA or graduate degree preferred.
  • Sales management of a technical sales organization that includes account managers and systems engineers.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with SMB and mid-tier commercial markets. Specific experience creating strategic solutions with partners and Marketing is necessary.
  • Strong leadership and influential skills in a teaming environment is a must. Experience managing a diverse technical and sales team.
  • Developing customer relationships.
  • Understanding of broad range of technologies.

Technical Knowledge , Skills & Expertise

  • Must have both the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process.
  • Must have the ability to develop and work extensively at the executive level.

Competencies

  • Self starter—Independent remote worker; must successfully manage remote workers. Travel required.
  • Success Factors—Strong leadership skills; able to deliver business value to the sales operation and customer.
  • Communication skills—Ability to develop relationships and work extensively at the executive level. Direct interaction with the Partners, Marketing, peers, and Customers will comprise a major portion of this assignment.
